Pivot Conference Speakers_Cheryl Burgess

Blue Focus Marketing is pleased to announce that co-founders Cheryl Burgess and Mark Burgess will be speaking at the 2013 Pivot Conference, set for October 15 & 16 in New York City. They will be joined on stage with David C. Edelman, Global Co-Leader, Digital Marketing and Sales Practice, McKinsey & Company, and Dana Williams, Lead Strategist, Integrated Marketing, Southwest Airlines.

Each year the Pivot conference brings together the top voices of the social business revolution, who share their thoughts on recent developments, notable trends, and what might be on the horizon for employees, marketers, and executives alike.

This year’s theme is “The Total Digital Experience.” According to the Pivot website, this theme embodies “the deepening recognition that no boundaries exist in the emerging social/mobile/digital world of business. Social isn’t a single thing, it is a force that changes everything.” We couldn’t agree more, and it is in that spirit that we are thrilled to be adding our own voices to what is sure to be an exciting, dynamic conversation.

The Pivot Conference itself is a participant in a larger collection of loosely affiliated social business conferences and events known as Social Week. As the Social Week website explains, “Social Week is not an event itself, but rather a larger concept—seven days in October, in New York City, packed with best-of-breed Social Business events from many organizations aimed across the broad spectrum of Social Professionals.”

Such a high concentration of events, all in one city during the same week, adds incredible benefit to social employees, marketers, analysts, thought leaders, and executives, as all are afforded the opportunity to come together in a dynamic exchange of information, connections, and all-around goodwill. So when it comes right down to it, if you’re a professional looking to stay on the cutting edge of social business trends, New York City in October is sure to be a whirlwind of excitement!

If you haven’t yet, the Pivot Conference is also a great time to pick up a copy of our recently released McGraw-Hill book, The Social Employee. Dynamic Signal will be sponsoring a special signing for the book on October. 16th. We’re very happy to be working so closely with Dynamic Signal in promoting The Social Employee, as the brand’s community engagement and content curation platform is blazing new trails in connectivity. Dynamic Signal’s VoiceStorm Platform creates a new people powered marketing channel for your brand so it’s easy to partner with employees, fans, and customers, on social to get your message in front of more of the right people.
